Most phones nowadays seem like they are all around $1000. However, you can spend less than $500 and still get a complete experience with all the features you need for everyday use.

### Google Pixel 7a – [$499](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BZ9XNBRB)

The Google Pixel 7a is the best all-around Android phone under $500. You still get all of Google’s smart features because it uses the same Tensor chip as the more expensive Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.

**Pros:**

- Great camera system with Google’s processing
- Premium feeling and relatively compact
- Outstanding performance for the price due to the Google Tensor chip – and clean, stock Android software

**Cons:**

- 90hz screen may seem slower than 120hz options
- Fingerprint scanner is not the best
- Relatively slow charging – up to 18W wired or 7.5W wireless

### Samsung Galaxy A54 – [$399](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BSLR2L5R)

Although with a bit slower chipset, this phone offers many of the essential features and more.

**Pros:**

- Stunning 120hz OLED screen with bright colors
- 5000 mAh battery for above-average battery life
- 50MP camera produces great shots in good light

**Cons:**

- Slower processor, could lead to occasional lag in multitasking
- No wireless charging
- Macro camera produces mediocre results

### OnePlus Nord N30 – [$299](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C22BRGLG)

For those wanting an even cheaper option, you can’t go wrong with the OnePlus Nord N30 for just $299.

**Pros:**

- Snapdragon 695 chipset provides exceptional performance in this price range
- Fast 50W charging
- Good battery life from the 5000mAh battery

**Cons:**

- LCD screen lacks contrast
- Camera performance is mediocre
- Few OS updates
