This Hidden Samsung Galaxy A54 5G Deal Seems Too Good To Be True

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G was just released in the US a few weeks ago, but there are amazing deals already. The new midrange offering from Samsung is a solid option, with key features such as a 50MP camera, 4K video recording capabilities, a vibrant 1080p 120Hz Super AMOLED display, an under-display fingerprint scanner, a huge 5000mAh battery, and more. The previous iterations such as the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A52 have all sold well, thanks to the price being under $500.

Being a midrange phone, Samsung used some cost-saving measures to bring the costs down. For example, the third camera is a measly 5MP macro lens, which could be considered unnecessary, since the ultrawide camera can produce the same macro effect. And, most importantly, the chipset. Although the new Exynos 1380 chipset present in the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G should provide a decent boost in performance compared to last year’s Exynos 1280, it still lags behind in comparison to other options such as the Google Pixel 7, with Google’s own Tensor G2 chip. The Pixel 7 is a full-featured flagship from Google, arguably providing a more complete experience at the price point.

Google Pixel 7

Since Google’s Pixel 7 can be found discounted under $450 nowadays, Samsung’s $450 Galaxy A54 5G price tag might be hard to swallow. However, an incredible trade-in deal on Samsung’s site makes the Galaxy A54 5G a worthy choice for a midrange, or even budget option, if it can be considered that.

As is widely known, Samsung’s budget phones lose value very quickly, so their trade-in values are expected to be low. However, during a limited-time promotion, Samsung is taking $200 off for almost every budget Samsung A-series phone trade-in. This knocks the price down to just $250, which is a very appealing price tag for Samsung’s brand new highest-end A-series phone.

For instance, one of the lowest-end A-series phones available for trade-in is the Galaxy A10e, which sells for $50 on eBay. This means Samsung is offering $150 more, making this deal very enticing for buyers willing to upgrade their aging A-series phones. Some buyers could even purchase an A10e on eBay, provided it is working, and trade it in on Samsung’s website for the deal, however, buyers should do this at their own risk.

This isn’t the first time Samsung has had crazy good trade-in deals for their devices, but it is rare for an A-series phone to get the same treatment.
